EVENT: Gatebil
Since I have nothing better to do this Sunday evening, I thought I could post up some of the shots I took at Gatebil a few weeks ago - jump to see more!

Formula Drift, I look forward to this massive event every year. Nothing spells fun like being within feet of cars going over 80 miles an hour.
The BDC have just announced details of their annual Team Drift event in the UK. Last year’s team event saw the closest triple drifting the UK had ever seen – can Team Green/Falken retain their title?

If you are in the UK and can get yourself to Norfolk Arena for the weekend then it is not to be missed! Saturday sees a stand-alone Top 32 event open to all drivers, not just those currently in the BDC! To top it off the finals will be driven at night under the arena floodlights – making for some fantastic viewing! Sunday hosts the team event with three cars from each team out on track at any one time inches from each others doors.
For more info please see the British Drift Championship website.

Hey guys ! Ok I thought you might like to see this, shot on location at Prodrift Citywest in Dublin in late June. This film was made for Maxxis Tyres, to be used on their website and so we decided against the usual music video style. I wanted to make the video performance focused and give you an insight into what its like actually being in the cars from a drivers perspective.
The film features Maxxis-sponsored Team Japspeed, I followed the guys around for the weekend so thanks to them for putting up with me constantly sticking the cameras in their faces !!
Hope you enjoy guys !
Steve
Part two of my shots from the DMNZ drift day, above, Adam from C’s Garage was also ripping up with his new power, looking good! More after the jump….
6:30AM when my friend Roo came to pick me up to start the 45 minute drive to Auckland’s newest track, Hampton Downs. Drift Motorspot NZ was working with D1NZ on this particular day, and there was some people trying to qualify for New Zealands national drift series, D1NZ.
Hugo from SeventeenBySeven invited me to take some pictures of him drifting as his friends own personal go-kart track. It was alot of fun to shoot at, and Hugo’s car sounds amazing.

Sup Drifted readers!
Before I start this little bit of coverage I thought I’d introduce myself as it’s the first time I’ve posted on the site. My names Daniel Bridle, I’m 17 years old, from the UK, and usually you’ll find my photography on a website called MotorMavens – which is a car culture blog covering all aspects of the automotive world. So you might be thinking, “why the hell is he posting here then?” Well, about a week and a bit ago JDM Allstars Round 3 was held up north in Sunderland (near Newcastle) at the Nissan Factory, and I was fortunate enough to be able to travel the long distance up there. Most of the Drifted crew hadn’t be able to sort going in time or had other projects they were working on, which would mean there would be no coverage on the site! So after a few discussions with Jordan Butters, we decided to do a MotorMavens x Drifted collab to spread the love and share some photos. Think of it as an extended family!
So with that explanation out of the way, let’s get down to business with some highlights from this awesome event!
Showing up to this practice session was looking like it would turn out to be a dull day. Only 30 cars showing up to drive and out of those 30, only about 8 were SED Pro Am drivers. As you can tell, I was so wrong and boy was I glad.
After the fantastic drifting from the semi-pro’s it was time to move onto the pro’s. Would they be able to put on as good a show as the semi-pro’s?, how would team Driftworks perform after last weeks damage?, and who would stand aloft the top step of the podium?

A little film focused on the drifting part of the annual, main event called Gatebil. There is no competition, no points or rankings. All just for shits and giggles, pleasing the crowd, burning rubber and having fun in the sun. Just like it should be!
Thanks to Autobloggen for lending me a 7D for a bit! Great fun, thanks Marius! And thanks to Liv at Meguiars Norway and Tom Ole at Japan Auto for getting me in to the event.
Comment, critisize, love or hate. It’s all good!
Saturday morning at 6.30am i’m at the launch pad at Donington ready for round 4 of the British Drift Championship. At this silly early time it is already 18℃, it’s going to be a very long and hot day. (more…)
For what seemed like the first time in a long while, the clouds came out to play and the weather seemed a little overcast, still there was no rain and the track temps were high, causing for plenty of smoke and people complaining about hot cars and sun burn. (more…)
