Recently Round 4 of the D1NZ Drift series was held at Aucklands Mt. Smart Stadium. The event kicked off during the week with a Charity cruise through the streets of Auckland organised by the guys at D1NZ for cancer patient Daniel Baxter and his family. After the fun filled day it was back down to business as drivers battled it out for the top honors.
Superior Imports are bringing us an exclusive video. Their All In video, featuring a bunch of top drivers doing what they do best at a private session, during last years Gatebil, held at Mantorp Park. A ton of GoPro’s, a bunch of cars and around 20 minutes tracktime.
Let me start off by saying: I’m really excited about this video. Not because I’m infatuated with myself or anything, but mainly because I got halfway through cutting this video and then had to leave the country as well as my editing behind. I managed to sneak back home long enough to sit down and finish this video, and it was wonderful to finally get it out of my brain! Make the jump!
Everybody probably knows or have heard of the phenomenom called Gatebil. Well, there is one event that Gatebil holds every year that differs from the usual all-weekend-tarmac-mayhem and that is Gatebil On Ice. It’s held on a frozen lake in Sigdal, where you run rally-spec studded tyres to give you maximum traction for some fun on the ice.
Big Daddy Kane once said: “Pimpin’ ain’t easy.” He wasn’t lying. After what was easily the most hard-fought season in it’s career as a professional drift car, Pat Cyr’s Toyota Corolla AE86 finally arrived home battered and bruised, but definitely not broken.

Thank goodness it’s Movember and I have this nice bushy mustache to keep my upper lip warm, because the final Capital City Drift practice day was a chilly one.
This year the Wreck ‘Em crew have been working hard to bring the heat with their latest DVD ‘Take It Personal’. I am super stoked on how this DVD turned out and the drivers we got to include. Some of those drivers names may be more familiar then others but all of them bring the Wreck ‘Em mentality to the table.
Come along for the final race of the season as the ASD team runs Irwindale Speedway. With 2 drivers in a fight for the 2011 Championship, the gloves were off.
