Intro! Kpuff*

04/27/201027th April, 2010

Hey everyone, I am Kenny Freeman (friends call me Kpuff) and I’m a photographer from the USA on the east coast in Atlanta, Georgia. I’ve been a photographer for about 6 years now, doing different things like automotive, modelling and weddings. Definitely have to say that Drifting photography is one of my favorites, and I love the events we have around Atlanta. I started taking drifting shots about 2 years ago and didn’t do much with it.

I stopped and did the show scene for a while. Back in November of 2009 I had the joy of attending my first South East Drift event at Gresham Park, Georgia. It was the last event of the year. Pride, cash and points  were on the line. Still, with all the tension in the air I was able to catch a ride in Drift Emporium’s Supercharged Titan V8 Infiniti G35, driven by Forrest Wang. The experience was amazing, and I was able to get a video in the passenger seat. That night Forest took first place after pressuring his opponent to the point that caused him to almost slide into the barrier.

Once the year started back up I got back in the action. I just cant get enough of the smoke, sound and vibe from the people involved. I think the biggest thing that brings me back to drifting is the people. It doesn’t matter where you go, if there is drifting involed then you will find some really chill, crazy and fun people.

Some info on what I shoot with:

I have a Nikon D90 with grip, upgraded about a year ago from a D50, although I’m already wanting a D700. I have a Nikon 18-105mm kit lens, a Nikon 35mm 1.8 lens, and I borrow a Nikon 70-300mm lens until I can get a Nikon 80-200mm 2.8 . I shoot with a SB-600 flash on stills, and for my photo shoots I use 2 lights and my auto rig.

The next event to come to Atlanta is Formula Drift Round 2, on May 7th. I will be there all day Friday, and Saturday for half the day. I’m very excited and will have that coverage up as soon as possible.
