STAFF PROJECT: The Life and Death of the Swagger Wagon
Every auto enthusiast has that one car... for some, it's their first car, for other's it's that old ratty pick-up, or any vehicle inbetween. That one car that stands out in your memory as the all time favourite... -
VIDEO: Drift Union Invitational 2012
After the success of last years Drift Union Invitational, I was inspired at this year's DUI to try and create a video that would dive a little deeper into the hidden gem that is Western Canada's drift scene. I wanted to make something more than just a short video, a mini-documentary of sorts. Something that could give you an insight into the minds of the drivers, show what goes on through the full weekend, the ups the downs, the drifting, the partying... an all encompassing video that is: The Drift Union Invitational. -
GRASSROOTS: Capital City Drift Season Opener
Winter came and went, now skid season is back in full swing. Last years heroes have spent the past six months building and testing. The kids who watched them at the previous events have saved up their precious pennies, bought their own cars, and have scrambled for seat time. The gates to Western Speedway in Victoria, BC are open.... -
VIDEO: Capital City Drift Halloween Practice
'Tis the month of October, and the Drift season is near over. With a few more track days left to run, the atmosphere is aimed at fun. With Halloween just weeks away, the drifters all dressed up to play. And in the spirit of this time, I'll write this post in way of rhyme. -
VIDEO: Capital City Drift Practice Day
Just another day of fun in the sun at Western Speedway in Victoria, BC. Sometimes I wonder if we have too much fun out here.... -
EVENT: Biggerfoot Bash Team Tandem
Well the infamous Bigfoot never made an appearance at Pacific Grand Prix (the heat must have been too much for all that fur), but the driving that went down in Kent, Washington this past weekend was equally as legendary...

SNAPSHOT: Street Status 86
Rode along for a morning Tofu run last week and snapped a couple shots during some downtime. Wolfpack Corolla keepin' it legit. There's just something about driving an AE86 on a nice open road in the early hours. If you've never experienced it then add it to the 'bucket list'. -
EVENT: Formula D Round 5: Throwdown: Part II
Professional driving returns to the Northwest and we were all set for a crazy Top 16 at Formula Drift, Monroe, Washington. -
EVENT: Formula D Round 5: Throwdown: Part I
I swear I'm still picking bits of rubber out of my hair and ears after Round 5 of Formula D in Monroe, Washington. With a combination of beautiful weather and a sellout crowd, the drivers had an opportunity to put on an amazing show and they did not disappoint. -
SNAPSHOT: The Podium at Evergreen
The smoke has settled at Evergreen Speedway in Monroe, Washington after a weekend of burning rubber and the results of Formula D Round 5 are in.. -
VIDEO: Capital City Drift; Round 3
The Capital City Drift crew put on another epic day at Western Speedway this past weekend. New track layout, couple new faces, and a lot of good driving went down... -
EVENT: All Star Bash XI
If I was to describe All Star Bash in one word, it would be: Hot. I am Canadian and I have a permanent fur coat on my chest. The desert is not my natural environment. Despite this, I could use another word to describe ASB: hellafunpartydrifttimesinthesun. Yeah... I went there. -
EVENT: Drift Union Invitational
The purple trio, Drift Union, have been causing quite the stir on the web as of late with their colour matched triple tandems. To inspire more people to follow their lead, Shawn Browne held the first annual Drift Union Invitational; Triple Team Tandem Event. True to their Keep Drifting Fun attitude it was structured more as a fun day rather than a competition. -
GRASSROOTS: Capital City Drift, Vancouver Island
The few Vancouver Island guys that have made it out to our mainland drift days always tell us to come out and check out their events on the Island. Vancouver Island has always been a place I love to visit and I hadn't been there for a few years, so I decided to take this free weekend to skip across the Straight of Georgia to Victoria to check out the Island scene.

GRASSROOTS: D-Day 13 “We’re Back!”
This past weekend, after a long winter, the Kelowna drift scene finally popped out of hibernation when Drift Union and Penticton Speedway hosted D-Day 13.

GRASSROOTS: Cell Block D 20
Agassiz's Speedway is a simple oval, two corners and two straights, but it is small and tight... and notorious for taking out cars. Most often, inexperienced drivers panic and hit the brakes, understeering into the wall. But even pros, who have been drifting the track since 2007 when Cell Block D started have had their share of mishaps here....

EVENT: Formula DRIFT: Streets of Long Beach – Part Two
Honestly, I don't even know how to start this. A week later and I'm still trying to get over what I have come to call "Post-California Depression Syndrome". This is the first time I attended a Formula D event and the first time I've been to California besides a trip to Disneyland when I was younger that I can barely remember. Needless to say, my brain was not prepared for the mind blowing it was to receive. -
SNAPSHOT: Day And Night
What could possibly be hiding under the veil of night?? -
VIDEO: Drift Union 2010 Video Online Premier
Just barely over one year ago I moved to Kelowna, British Columbia and met Shawn Browne and Logan Noel, the two champs that are the main drive behind Drift Union. Check out the online premier of our 2010 adventure! -
SNAPSHOT: Hibernation
I recently went for a little day trip to Vancouver, hoping to maybe get a few photos of some friends drift cars. Bad communication and ill-planning on my part didn't get me much to work with. I showed up at Pete Schroeder's shop, Neptune D, to find out his SR20 had been pulled and his S13.5 was sitting pretty for the winter season. -
SNAPSHOT: My Apology
So, Bigfoot Bash was almost 3 weeks ago now and I still haven't gotten around to posting up a write-up on the event... and I genuinely feel bad. I promise I'm not just sitting around playing Halo and Forza though!

GRASSROOTS: Drift Union’s: D-Day 12
The past four D-Days at Penticton Speedway were nothing but sunshine and hot weather, and this past weekend I expected nothing less. Remembering my terrible sun burn… -
EVENT: PGP Wars EPISODE I: The Tandem Menace
There was definitely a great disturbance in the force this weekend at Pacific Grand Prix Motorsports Park in Kent, Washington.
