We recommend that you begin the game with playing ‘Tournaments,’ you’ll have a selection of mysterious villages and arenas to choose from that will provide the battleground!
As you rub doors with your opponents in a desperate sprint to the finish line, you’ll be able to take advantage of the various power-ups that will help to launch you to victory!
Collect the power-ups by driving into the boxes that are placed around the circuit. Once you’ve gained a power-up, you’ll then press the ‘E’ key to use the unique gift you’ve received.
Racing Battlegrounds exciting cartoon graphics and spooky lighting remind us of old-school video games but don’t be fooled, as the games unique physics make this a real challenge that’ll undoubtedly keep you coming back for more.
If you’re interested to see the power-ups available, you can head to the main menu and click the lightning bolt. When you begin, you’ll have a stock of 4 power-ups, with an additional 6 to be unlocked as you progress through the game.
Not only will progressing hand you additional power-ups, but there are also plenty of new and unique vehicles to be unlocked. You’ll undoubtedly need these as the competition gets increasingly intense.
If you don’t fancy heading to a tournament right away, you can choose ‘Quick Race.’ However, the further you progress within ‘Tournament’ mode, the sooner you can unlock the ultimate ‘Destruction’ mode!
How to play Racing Battlegrounds
Use the following keyboard keys:
- Up arrow/W – Accelerate
- Down arrow/S – Brake
- Left arrow/A – Turn left
- Right arrow/D – Turn right
- R – Reset car
- E – Execute power-up
