Survival Race throws you into a hexagonal battle arena where only the last remaining racer wins. This high-intensity multiplayer drifting game combines arcade action with battle royale mechanics, and you’ll need to master quick reflexes and smart tactics to outlast your rivals.

The concept appears simple, but it proves surprisingly challenging. You need to drift, jump, and fly your way around the floating arena while the ground literally crumbles beneath your wheels.

You’ll need to ram opponents off the edges shamelessly, master epic stunts, or try to play it safe (good luck with that strategy, though!).

The free-to-play browser-based drift game also offers a variety of game modes, including a special ‘soccer’ mode, where even more elements are thrown into the mix.

Survival Race Controls

The game is well-optimized for a range of devices, allowing you to play on the go, at work, at home, or school.

PC/Desktop/Laptop/Chromebook Controls

  • Steer Left – A/Left Arrow
  • Steer Right – D/Right Arrow
  • Jump – W/Up Arrow/Spacebar
  • Fly – Double-tap W/Up Arrow/Spacebar

Mobile/Tablet Controls

  • Left/right steering – Slide finger left/right
  • Jump – Tap screen
  • Fly – Double-tap screen

How To Play Survival Race

Be prepared – you’re thrown into the action immediately after hitting play, so make sure you know the controls! Your mission is to stay on the floating platform longer than the rivals who are determined to smash you out of the arena and take the crown.

When you drift on the blocky surface, your skidmarked path collapses under your car’s weight (and the same for your opponents). You’ll need to master jumping and flying, or you’ll plummet into the void below, and it’ll be game over.

The arena shrinks and expands unpredictably, sometimes trapping you but occasionally saving your life when you least expect it.

While the main objective is to be the last man standing, you can also collect the coins scattered around the arena to unlock new rides from the massive showroom (174 car variations total, including different colors).

There are also a variety of power-ups, which appear randomly, giving you added firepower and weaponry to demolish the competition.

Survival Race Game Modes

Although ‘Battle’ is the default game mode, you can also choose from a selection of alternatives from the main menu.

Practice Mode

Refine your skills by drifting through Checkpoints without the pressure of opponents trying to ram you off the track. Perfect for mastering your sideways skills and tricky jump-to-fly combos before facing the real competition.

Battle Mode

This default mode is where the real chaos happens – you’re thrown straight into the arena with multiple rivals in pure survival mayhem. This is the classic last-racer-standing experience that’ll test every skill you’ve learned.

Parkour Mode

Parkour switches things up by focusing on your jumping and flying skills, where your main priority is to collect stars from ramps and floating platforms. You’ll still need to deal with the usual opponents and avoid falling off the collapsing arena, but instead of it being last man standing, you need to collect the most stars.

Autoball Mode

Screenshot – Love drifting? Love soccer? You’re in for a treat in the ‘Autoball’ mode – it’s far from easy, though!

For those of you familiar with the popular ‘Soccar’ game, you’ll likely know the objective here. It combines everything from the other modes with an added twist – you need to use your car to hit the balls into the goal, all while dodging the usual collapsing platforms and dealing with your opponents!

Although Autoball is the most challenging mode, testing your skills in every aspect of the game, it’s our personal favorite.

Survival Race Tips & Tricks

Plan your drifts before you commit – remember that where you, or your opponents, drive or drift weakens the platform beneath you. Consider your escape route before laying rubber down to avoid falling into the trap.

Get comfortable with the double-jump fly combo early. When platforms start crumbling or carnage is going down in the arena, this temporary escape becomes your lifeline.

Keep an eye on the platform stability – they show warning signs before collapsing completely. Learning to read these visual cues will save you from unexpected early baths.

Use the shrinking arena to your advantage. Force opponents into the void whenever you can, but also be ready to maximize the space and collect power-ups when the boundaries expand again.

Pick your battles wisely when ramming opponents. A well-timed collision can eliminate rivals, but mistimed aggression will likely send you over the edge instead.

Collect coins consistently. While unlocking new cars is tempting, it’s not worth risking a life for. So, plan your earnings wisely, and the consistency will pay off when you begin unlocking more cars in the showroom!
