Liam Doran brought his bonkers wheelie-poppin’ V8 Mini pickup to Castle Combe Circuit for the UK leg of the LZ World Tour, and proceeded to throw down one of the sketchiest drift entries we’ve ever witnessed.

The featherweight classic Mini truck was originally built for UK Autograss racing. However, Doran decided to put it to better use by nearly scaring everyone at the event half to death with a massive high-speed drift entry.

As you probably guessed, this is far from your typical Mini build.

Based on his recent YouTube videos, he swapped the previous twin-Hayabusa engine setup for a 500-horsepower V8 race motor with a ridiculous 11,000 rpm redline… Which blew up on his first outing, leaving a $50k hole in his pocket. Ouch.

Previously, the steel tube-frame chassis Mini build featured two Suzuki Hayabusa GSX1300R bike engines mounted behind the seats.

The insane setup combined both engines to create a V8 configuration that pushed out 380 horsepower, nearly 550 horsepower per ton, thanks to the car weighing just 600kg (1,323 lbs).

With twin 6-speed sequential transmissions and an XCWorx twin-drive box sending power to the rear wheels, this thing hits 0-60 in just 2.63 seconds, all while looking up at the sky!

Regardless of what he’s currently running, the thing was absolutely nuts on its entry at the LZ World Tour.

Thankfully, a crisis was immediately averted when Doran’s WRX experience kicked in, allowing him to control the wild Mini before it turned into a disaster.

Here’s how the Mini build looks, once again pulling off wheelies, but this time in a slightly less terrifying scenario:

There’s nothing we love more than unique drift builds, and this is undoubtedly up there with the craziest we’ve seen yet!
