Wreckreation Is Finally Coming To PC And Consoles Next Month
Table of Contents
It’s been five years since its initial announcement in 2020, and when we’d almost given up hope of it ever arriving, Wreckreation finally has a release date.

Publisher THQ Nordic and developer Three Fields Entertainment have confirmed that Wreckreation will release on October 28, 2025, for PC (Steam), PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S, with a suggested retail price of $39.99.
What to expect at launch
As we saw in last month’s trailer, Wreckreation is set to combine the previously much-loved high-speed racing action of the Burnout series with the track-building features of Trackmania.
Sound good? Now, pair those with awesome-looking crash physics that’ll undoubtedly remind you of other games like Wreckfest and FlatOut. If you’re a fan of any of those, this will definitely be worth checking out.
At launch, you’ll have access to more than 50 cars to explore the massive open world spanning 400 square kilometers (around 150 square miles).

The standout feature is ‘Live Mix’, which allows you to open the construction menu mid-race and build completely custom tracks on your own, or with your friends online.
Whether you want to build highways reaching into the clouds, design gigantic loops and jumps, or place the randomest obstacles (uhh… dinosaurs, anyone?), you’re not likely to be disappointed.

Based on this quote from THQ Nordic, the possibilities seem pretty much endless:
“Build highways that reach into the clouds, design loops, ramps, and jumps, or place billboards, houses, decorations, and even towering dinosaur statues. Creativity has no limits – and everything can be shared.”
If you want to see ‘Live Mix’ in action, this earlier showcase trailer gave the best insight to date on what to expect. Although it was released two years ago now, so expect to see some changes and improvements:
As well as the creation aspect, you can also change the weather, time of day, traffic density, and ‘much more’ instantly through the in-game menus.
Why we’re excited for a new ‘Three Fields’ game

Three Fields Entertainment contains talent from the golden era of Burnout’s Criterion Games team, bringing some real OGs to the project, and many fans are hoping Wreckreation can serve as the spiritual successor to Burnout 3: Takedown.
Admittedly, the studio’s last couple of driving games haven’t met expectations. However, with a much longer development period and a major publisher backing this time around, this could be their breakthrough moment.
You can wishlist Wreckreation now on Steam, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S. As we’re seeing increasingly often, there are no plans for Xbox One or PlayStation 4 versions.
If you’re looking for something to enjoy in the meantime, we’ve got plenty of free online stunt and crash games for you to enjoy. Madalin Stunt Cars 3 has long been the fan favorite among Drifted arcade players.
