What’s set to be the biggest drift event ever promises to deliver championship-deciding drama as drivers battle for the title in front of a packed crowd of over 53,000 spectators.

After five hard-fought rounds across Europe this year (following Italy’s cancellation), Irishman Conor Shanahan currently leads the points table with 390 points.

He only holds an eight-point advantage over Poland’s Piotr Więcek, who sits in second with 382 points.

Conor’s brother, Jack Shanahan, rounds out the podium contenders in third place with 300 points.

Surprisingly, after recently rewriting the record books with his fifth FD title, James Deane sits in fourth place overall on 249 points. Kevin Pesur is just one point behind Deane on 248.

The Warsaw Spectacle Returns

For the third consecutive year, the DMGP finale returns to the Polish capital’s national stadium in front of the largest live audience of any drift event in the world.

The incredible venue features a custom-built track constructed on the stadium floor, specifically for the event, surrounded by unforgiving concrete barriers that demand pinpoint precision from drivers.

The challenging figure-eight layout has already delivered plenty of championship drama, having witnessed unforgettable moments in previous years.

Here’s a preview clip from DMGP’s Facebook, showing what to expect.

Formula DRIFT’s Top Drivers Fly Over To Shake Things Up

Matt Field, Adam LZ, and Hiroya Minowa join the likes of 2025 Formula DRIFT champion James Deane, who already competes in DMGP alongside FD, for the epic finale.

This means four of the current five highest-ranked drivers in the Formula DRIFT standings will be competing, with Fredric Aasbo being the only exception.

Minowa has stated he’ll be driving James Deane’s S14.9, with Field behind the wheel of a Drift Force GR Supra from Yves Meyer. LZ is returning to his European BMW E36which he made history with in last year’s final, and which has remained on the continent since.

PROSPEC driver Amanda Sorensen joins them alongside another past FD competitor from Brazil, who was also part of the Hyperdrive series – Joao Barion.

Polish driver Bartosz Ostalowski will also be another wildcard entry, using his feet to drift!
