CarX Drift Racing Online 2 Drops First Gameplay Trailer, Shows Off Epic Crash Physics
Following the official announcement from the CarX team in March 2025 that CarX Drift Racing Online 2 is on the way, we’ve heard very little since.

However, it’s no secret that the team has been busy rolling out CarX Street to PlayStation and Xbox console players, much to their delight.
Now they’re back, and it seems they’re (hopefully) full steam ahead with the CarX Drift Racing Online 2 progress.
Here’s the first official gameplay trailer, providing the first taste of the drifting physics and awesome damage:
As always, all CarX vehicles are unlicensed, but drifting fans will easily recognize the models they’re based on.

The fast-paced teaser showcases various touge roads and the legendary Ebisu circuit before we see a heavily modified Nissan Silvia S15 launching over the iconic Minami jump.

Behind it, a Nissan 180SX S13 becomes the latest victim of Ebisu’s infamous wall, crashing head-first into concrete and delivering our first real taste of the insane damage physics we can expect as the aftermarket body panels smash, crumple, and fly off.
For those familiar with the CarX Drift Racing 3 mobile game, it’s no surprise that the damage looks incredible.

While similarities to the mobile version are clear, the visuals look more impressive than ever, along with the satisfying-looking physics that we can’t wait to experience firsthand.

The trailer continues with a Toyota GR Supra and a Ford Mustang tandeming through the mountain roads, narrowly missing gas station pumps in the process.

A Toyota JZX100 then drifts through quaint Japanese towns under sunset skies, with its glow shining through the smoke of the tires.
It’s worth noting that the final game may look slightly different, given the warning that it’s still a work in progress, and the final version may differ.

Many hoped for an official release date at the end, but unfortunately, you’ll still have to settle for wishlisting on Steam for now.
Given that CarX Drift Racing Online 2 was targeting Steam Early Access in Q4 2025, we’re hoping for updates soon. After all, the team is known for surprising fans when they least expect it.

Console versions are confirmed but won’t arrive until after the PC Early Access period ends, allowing the team to work with fans on fixes first. When it reaches consoles, we expect it to arrive on PlayStation, Xbox, and Switch platforms.
