New Leak Says Forza Horizon 6 Reveal Just Weeks Away, And Fans Will Love The Location

It’s looking more likely than ever that Forza Horizon 6 will finally deliver the most requested setting in the series’ history, Japan. If the latest rumors are true, the official FH6 announcement could be just weeks away.

Well-known leaker NateTheHate2 claims Playground Games is gearing up to announce the next Horizon entry at Tokyo Game Show 2025 (talk about a perfect location!), which will run from September 25–28.
In his tweet, Nate stated the “Intent is to announce Forza Horizon 6 at this year’s Tokyo Game Show — which takes place in late September.”
The location lines up perfectly with months of speculation that the series will head to Japan. Nate also backed up what fans have been waiting to hear:
“The game’s setting is Japan — making TGS an apt venue for reveal.”

Nate’s rumor comes at a perfect time following last week’s accidental social media leak involving a 3D scanning project of rare Kei cars by an Australian import company, which many suspected was prep work for Horizon 6.
Tom Henderson also doubled down on the rumor:
Tom mentions that “There’s one massively disgruntled employee at Xbox”. This would be a likely scenario, given that the Forza Motorsport team has seen huge layoffs in recent months, leaving FM’s future in doubt. It wouldn’t come as much of a surprise that they know what’s going on with Horizon 6.

For longtime fans (myself included), Japan has been at the top of the wish list since the series began thirteen years ago. Drifting through the touge mountain passes (Fujimi Kaido in Horizon, anyone?), neon-soaked city streets, paired with Japan’s legendary JDM drifting culture. It all lines up perfectly with Horizon’s open-world focus.
What Platforms To Expect
Unsurprisingly, the questions on Nate’s tweet quickly turned to whether the game will make its way to Nintendo’s rumored Switch 2, despite his blunt statement, “Before you ask: No. I have not heard of a Switch 2 version.”
The most likely scenario is that Forza Horizon 6 launches across Xbox Series X|S, Windows PC, and Xbox Game Pass on day one.
Given the success of Horizon 5’s jump to PlayStation earlier this year, which saw player numbers surpass 50 million, it seems likely Sony’s console will get it eventually. That said, Xbox and PC users should expect a period of exclusivity first.
When Will Forza Horizon 6 Arrive?
All signs point to a 2026 release window, making it “the next Forza” that Xbox boss Phil Spencer recently teased. NateTheHate2 also confirmed this in his comments, stating: “First half 2026 is the target/hope.”
If so, this timing would (surprisingly) see FH6 launch very close to GTA 6, which is expected in May 2026.
For now, all eyes are on Tokyo in September. If the leaks hold up, fans may soon get the news they’ve been waiting over a decade to hear.
