Tokyo Xtreme Racer Announces ‘Golden Era’ JDM Aero And Tuning Legends For Full Release

Abflug becomes the latest manufacturer to join the lineup for Tokyo Xtreme Racer’s upcoming ‘full release’.

The Japanese tuning house is known for its wild and extreme body kits and aero parts, mostly for JDM cars. Now, their super-aggressive styling brings even more ‘golden era’ 90s nostalgia to TXR.
Why we’re hyped to see Abflug in TXR
Founded in 1989, Abflug was one of several leading tuners that helped define the crazy, carefree 90s tuning scene throughout that era.
They’re known for their insanely wide body kits, which share a similar style to alternatives like Veilside at the time. Veilside has since become infamous for its appearance in The Fast And The Furious, on Han’s RX-7 FD.

Unlike some widebody kits, which are simply fenders and some bolt-on parts. Abflug’s kits, such as the ‘Abflug S900’ MK4 Supra above, completely transform OEM cars, sometimes making them barely recognizable.

In addition to the standard fenders and bumpers, these widebody parts are applied to the entire car, enabling them to create huge vents and unique styling elements.

Although they’re best known for their old-school JDM kits, with the A80 Supra being (arguably) their most iconic, they also produced a kit for the RX-7 FD, and more recently, the likes of the Nissan GT-R and Toyota GT86.
They don’t stop at JDM cars either, with the official Abflug Instagram page showcasing everything from Porsches to Maseratis, and even a Mini. Now, we just need Tokyo Xtreme Racer to announce those, too!

If you’re ever lucky enough to see an Abflug build on the streets, you’ll be stunned at just how wide these truly are, and they’ll be a welcome addition to the wangan.
There’s even more freshly announced aero legends
Alongside Abflug, Genki continues to roll out more tuning manufacturer announcements. We’ve just had three more reveals in the past few hours!

TXR’s full release is just around the corner
The full release is due to arrive on September 25. Genki, the team behind TXR, has done a great job sticking to their many promises throughout the Early Access period, so this shouldn’t be any different.

When it arrives, the full version will bring a huge expansion of the current content. Alongside more of the game’s story mode, we’ll also get plenty of new cars (Honda, at last!), rivals, and as we’ve seen here, tuning parts.
Although some features are delayed, we’ve got full faith that Genki will roll them out soon after release. Once complete, it’s increasingly likely that we’ll also see the final game arrive on PlayStation and Xbox consoles.
If you’re quick, you can still get TXR for its bargain Early Access price of $29.99 on Steam ahead of the full version release. Once the EA period is over, it’ll be almost double, at $49.99. Those who got in early will be automatically upgraded to the full game upon release.
