We’re One Week Away From The Most Likely Forza Horizon 6 Announcement Yet
Following the official confirmation that “the next Forza” will arrive in 2026, the latest teaser revealed that we can expect “Japan-inspired content” at the 2025 Xbox Game Show.

Now, there’s just one week to go, and it’s all lining up perfectly for this to finally be the Forza Horizon 6 announcement we’ve all been waiting for.
Xbox Wire confirmed that they’ll have a Tokyo Game Show broadcast on Thursday, Sept 25 at 7 pm JST (3 am PT / 6 am ET / 11 am UK). Although they haven’t explicitly confirmed a Forza Horizon 6 reveal, it adds up nicely. After all, the whole point of a reveal is that it’s a “surprise” – as much as it can be at this point, anyway!
The timing (a 2025 announcement for a 2026 launch) and the location (Tokyo) are a perfect match for them to confirm Horizon 6, with the long-rumored Japan setting being the chosen location.
We’ve seen recent leaks that make it even more likely, with Australian importer Cult & Classic posting on Instagram (then deleting the post as soon as possible), that Turn 10/Playground Games was 3D-scanning a Suzuki Every “for the next installation”.
Then, known and credible leakers NateTheHate and Tom Henderson both backed the TGS reveal and Japan setting.
Henderson then doubled down, claiming, “There’s one massively disgruntled employee at Xbox”. This seems extremely likely, given the recent layoffs at the Forza Motorsport team. It’d be no surprise if they have insider knowledge and friends at Playground Games.
Additionally, Windows Central reported, “We’ve seen official, widely circulated documents strongly suggesting that Forza Horizon 6 is actually planned to be announced during 2025’s Tokyo Game Show, an annual gaming-focused conference kicking off in Japan toward the end of September.”
They also claim that “Forza Horizon 6 will be supported by Turn 10 Studios”.

Given that Microsoft CEO Phil Spencer confirmed “the next Forza” will arrive in 2026, everything falls into place. There’s been plenty of confirmed news from Turn 10 recently that we won’t be seeing much in the way of Forza Motorsport updates.
Given these facts, it has to either be Horizon 6 or something completely new for the Horizon franchise, which seems very unlikely at this point. Given that over 50 million players have now played Horizon 5 (as of August 2025), we doubt they’re looking to change the “winning” recipe at this point, even if some fans would love to see it.
Hopefully, all the main questions will be answered by this time next week. Be sure to add Thursday, September 25, at 7 pm JST (3 am PT / 6 am ET / 11 am UK) to your calendar, where you can watch it live on the official Tokyo Game Show YouTube channel.
