Real Drift Multiplayer 2
Table of Contents
Real Drift Multiplayer 2 is a great browser-based drifting game that’s perfect for killing time when you want to get sideways.
It offers awesome physics for a free online drift game, offering satisfying drifting without being overly complicated.

You can practice solo to build up cash and combos to unlock new cars and upgrades, or hop into multiplayer lobbies for tandems with your friends or other players.
While most games start you off with a cheap and basic beginner drift car, Real Drift Multiplayer 2 gifts you an epic RWB-style Porsche 911 from the start, which is an awesome choice for learning the ropes!
Controls
Use the following keys on your keyboard and the mouse to manually adjust the camera angle:
- Up arrow/W – Accelerate
- Down arrow/S – Brake/Reverse
- Left arrow/A – Steer left
- Right arrow/D – Steer right
- C – Change camera view
- F – Nitrous boost
- Space – Handbrake/eBrake (useful for initiating drifts)
- Mouse – Manually move the camera around
How To Play Real Drift Multiplayer 2
Getting Started
It’s not often you get this lucky in drifting games, but like we mentioned, you’re treated to an epic RWB-style Porsche 911 right from the start!

You’re asset-rich and cash-poor at this point, so you’ll start with zero in your wallet, so your best bet is heading straight to the track to start earning some money.
There’s also an option to watch an ad for 3000 credits if you’re feeling lazy, but we’re here to have fun and get sideways, so that’s exactly what we’ll do!
Hit the ‘PLAY NOW’ button and then toggle between ‘MULTIPLAYER/SINGLE PLAYER’ mode. While you’re still getting used to the game, single-player is definitely the way to go.
Next, pick one of the maps. Since ‘MAP 2’ is set at nighttime, we recommend that beginners start with ‘MAP 1’ or ‘MAP 3’ until they’re used to the game.
Choosing Your Camera View
Firstly, move your mouse around and check out the free-roam camera. Take a moment to appreciate how good the Porsche looks for a free browser game!
Then, press ‘C’ to cycle through the different camera views:

- Interior view – You can also move your mouse to look around the cockpit

- External view – Dynamic angles that change as you drive (they look cool but often change, so not great for earning cash quickly)

- Birds-eye view – Micro Machines-style top-down perspective that’s surprisingly fun (yet practical) once you get used to it

- Default view – Your best bet for learning the ropes
Getting Sideways
Here’s where you’ll get to appreciate the best of what Real Drift Multiplayer 2 offers – as well as the graphics, the physics are genuinely impressive for a free drifting game.
Fair warning – you’re going to kiss (well, crash into) the concrete barriers a lot when you start! The game takes patience to master, and understanding throttle control, weight shift, and counter-steering is crucial for (eventually) building money-making combos.
While combos are your ticket to quick cash, they’re pretty challenging at first. Be sure to keep the rear tires spinning by using manjis whenever necessary, or you’ll lose the combo.
High-impact crashes will also break your streak, but running into the walls will help build your combo. But keep things simple when you’re getting started with the basic aim of not crashing!

One nice touch with RDM 2 is that big crashes actually damage your car (slightly, admittedly), which is rare in browser drifting games.
It’s definitely not the same level of destruction as seen in other browser games such as Beam Drive Car Crash Test Simulator, though, and far from the insane physics of BeamNG.drive.
Tuning & Customization
Once you’ve started earning decent money by showing off your skills, you can consider treating your Porsche to some upgrades.
Car Color
First up is ‘CAR COLOR’, where you get to choose from a huge variety of paint options.

Be warned, though – the game doesn’t allow you to preview the upgrades! As soon as you click a color, the money gets pulled from your in-game wallet. It’s a bit annoying, but at least there are plenty of options to choose from.
Wheels
Again, it’s the same story with the wheels – no preview option here either. I found this out the hard way when I wanted to see how the other options looked, but they got installed immediately on my car.

The result? Absolutely terrible fitment on the RWB Porsche!
Even worse, there’s no way to go back to the stock wheels once you’ve made the change. The huge RWB fenders make most aftermarket wheels look tiny and lost.

On a positive note, when I added a Miata to my garage later, the wheels fit great. It’s really just the Porsche’s super-aggressive widebody that creates fitment issues.
Customization
This section should be called ‘Suspension’ instead, as that’s what it is!

You can adjust the front and rear camber, as well as ride height (which they’ve labeled as ‘Front Suspensions’ and ‘Rear Suspensions’ for some reason).

There are also front and rear damper and spring force adjustments available. It’s actually pretty advanced stuff for a browser game! Unfortunately, there’s no offset adjustment, which could have resolved the wheel fitment issues.
Car Upgrade

This section isn’t super clear, either, but here are the various options:
- Gear cogs – Engine upgrades
- Steering wheel – Handling upgrades
- Brake – Braking upgrades
Each upgrade has five tiers, and the improvements are definitely noticeable. Once you’ve got decent upgrades installed, the car becomes more powerful and easier to drift, so you’ll start multiplying your combos before you know it, and the cash starts flowing in!
Just be ready to learn how to master the throttle control – with more power, the car becomes a bit of a weapon!
Spoilers
Since the starting Porsche 911 already has the huge RWB wing (spoiler) installed, you can’t swap it out for anything else.

However, with the Miata, for example, there are 14 different spoiler options available. There are again no previews whatsoever, so it’s essentially another lucky dip situation, unfortunately!
I wasn’t thrilled with my choice, but thankfully, there’s an option (the bottom icon on the left with an X) that lets you remove spoilers. It still cost me 1500 credits though! D’oh!
While the tuning system is decent enough, it’s nowhere near as comprehensive as what you’ll find in games like Drift Hunters 2025.
Car Selection

The game opts for quality over quantity with its car selection. While there are only five cars on offer, they’re all great picks that feel unique to drive.
Each car handles differently enough to keep things interesting, and the variety covers most of what you’d want in a drifting game.
The starting RWB Porsche is obviously the star of the show, but the other options, from the Miata to a range of super/hypercars give you different experiences once you’ve earned enough cash to expand your garage.
If you’re looking for a massive car roster from a free online drifting game, you’ll want to check out Drift Hunters MAX instead.
Track Selection (Maps)
There are three maps available, all of which are track-based, along with the unforgiving concrete walls we mentioned earlier. No convenient off-roading opportunities here to rack up extra points!
Each map has its own challenges. ‘MAP 1’ and ‘MAP 3’ offer good visibility for beginners, while ‘MAP 2’ is our personal favorite thanks to its unique nighttime vibes.
Whichever track you choose, expect to become familiar with the walls as you learn!
Online Multiplayer Mode

This is another great addition to Real Drift Multiplayer 2, and a feature that isn’t often seen in drifting browser games.
You can either join existing lobbies with other players or host a session to invite your friends.
The multiplayer setup is pretty straightforward – toggle the ‘MULTIPLAYER/SINGLE PLAYER’ button before choosing your map.
You’ll see either ‘MULTIPLAYER MODE ACTIVE’ or ‘SINGLE PLAYER MODE ACTIVE’ at the top to confirm which mode you’re in.
While it’s not as packed with players as some of the more popular online driving games like Madalin Stunt Cars 3, there are usually other drifters around.
The ability to host private lobbies is particularly nice when you want to show off your skills to friends or practice together without random players jumping in.
It’s a solid multiplayer experience that adds real replay value to the game, especially once you’ve mastered the basics in single-player mode.
