All The Forza Horizon 5 Widebody Cars & Kits (Updated)
From RWB Porsches to Rocket Bunny-clad JDM legends, we break down every widebody car and kit in Forza Horizon 5’s final lineup.
Jump To Section
If you want to create the ultimate thicc ride you can’t afford to build in the real world (we feel your pain), the widebody kits in Forza Horizon 5 are the perfect option by transforming skinny stock cars into chunky, aggressive-looking track-ready weapons.
The best part? You can slap these kits on at the click of a button without the real-world nightmare of angle grinders, metal shavings in your eyeballs, or the moment of pure terror when you make your first cut into a perfectly good fender. (I still have nightmares about my first widebody install!)
In FH5, most players follow a pretty standard upgrade path:
- First, make the car stupidly fast.
- Quickly decide you can’t control the bonkers speed, so upgrade the brakes and suspension.
- Realize, “This thing should probably look as mean as it drives.”
That’s where these widebody kits come in – they’re the final flex that shows everyone in the lobby that you didn’t spend all your credits on engine swaps and upgrades. (Right?)
Not every car in FH5 gets treated to a widebody upgrade, though, so you’ll ideally need to consider this before you throw your money into a build, or you’ll have to head back to the streets to earn more cash.
Whether you’re building something to drift sideways on the streets, make the most of Mexico’s near-endless dirt roads, go as fast as possible on the drag strip, or race with your online crew in FH5’s fastest cars.
The right widebody setup will have other players hitting up your inbox asking, “Yo, how’d you make your car look so good?” – You can then point them to this article. We gotchu!
Cars With Widebody Kits In Forza Horizon 5
Forza Horizon 5 now features over 100 cars with widebody kit options, with nearly 120 kits on offer. To put this in perspective, FH5 now has over 950 vehicles in total, so only around 10% of the entire roster can get the “thicc” treatment.
Following the recent Horizon Realms update and (disappointing) Nissan Retro Rides Car Pack, we’re unlikely to get more content for FH5, so we expect this to be the final conclusive list of all the widebody cars in the game.
The Playground Games team now seems to be hard at work on Forza Horizon 6, which rumors suggest might be set in Japan and could be released in 2025. Given the delays of Fable 4 (another Playground Games title) and GTA 6, it’d be the perfect opportunity to release FH5 before the GTA hype train returns.

Forza Horizon 5 Widebody Kit Pros & Cons
Are you not sure whether to fit a widebody kit to your car? Here are a few considerations to consider before you splash the cash:
Widebody Pros
- Makes your car look properly aggressive – perfect for those Instagram-worthy Forza photo mode shots.
- Lets you fit the widest wheels possible, which you’ll be grateful for once you’ve refined the tire-shredding power under the hood of your drift car.
- Gives your car that competition-ready stance that’ll show you mean business in the online lobbies.
- No real-world headaches like cutting up your perfectly good fenders with an angle grinder!
Widebody Cons
- Costs a chunk of credits (typically 20,000-50,000 CR) that could go toward making your car faster instead of just looking faster.
- Adds weight to your ride, potentially slowing down your 0-60 times unless you compensate with more power.
- Only about 10% of the cars in FH5 can get the widebody treatment – sorry if your favorite ride isn’t on the list!
- You might need to make other upgrades that’ll no longer match the awesomeness of your ride.
- Some people might not like your widebody as they feel it’s “overdone” now, but hey, it’s your ride – do what makes YOU happy – that’s the beauty of tuning!
Wrapping Up
Widebody kits are an awesome addition to the Forza Horizon 5 experience, combining aggressive looks with genuine performance benefits. Let’s face it, we can never have TOO many tuning and customization options!
With over widebody-ready cars available, with nearly 120 different kit options, you’ve got plenty of choices to create your dream build.
A few key points to remember before you begin your widebody transformation:
- Choose your car wisely. Remember, only about 10% of FH5’s 950+ rides actually feature widebody kits. We’ve bought cars only to realize they don’t, and it’s annoying!
- Consider your performance upgrades first, then add the widebody as the finishing touch.
- Budget 20,000-50,000 credits for the kit and additional funds for the other upgrades you’ll need to match the new chonky vibes.
- Be prepared to retune your suspension and handling to get the most from your wider stance.
- Pair these widebody kits with the perfect wheel fitment and ride height for the ultimate visual impact that’ll leave your buddies drooling over your new ride.
Whether you’re building a drift machine, a street racer, or just something to flex on your friends in online lobbies, these widebody kits let you express your style without the real-world hassles of cutting fenders or worrying about terribly fitting replica bodykits! (Ask us how we know…)
Forza Horizon 5 Widebody Cars FAQ
Here are some common questions regarding the widebody cars in Forza Horizon 5.
What cars feature widebody kits in Horizon 5?
Over 100 cars have widebody options in FH5, about 10% of the game’s 950+ vehicle roster. The Mazda RX-7 FD leads with four different kit options, while other 90s JDM options, Nissan, Toyota, and Mazda, alongside BMW, also have several widebody options available.
Do widebody kit cars drive differently in Forza Horizon 5?
Yes, widebody kits add a little weight but improve stability and allow for wider tires. This opens up the possibility for fitting wider tires, which offer better cornering and grip for drifting, though you might need to retune your suspension to compensate for the weight changes.
What’s the funniest widebody car in FH5?
The 1972 Reliant Supervan III with its Forza Widebody Kit takes the crown for us – the three-wheeled widebody van with stabilizers is hilariously awesome.
What’s the coolest widebody car in FH5?
For us, it has to be the tiny Wuling Hongguang Mini EV Macaron with its Robot Craftsman kit. This reminds us of Japanese Kei cars (which we LOVE!) With the right setup, it can be one of the most epic-looking, unique cars in FH5.
Will more widebody kits be coming soon?
Probably not, as Playground Games appears to be focusing on Forza Horizon 6 now. The current list above of widebody-compatible cars is likely final for FH5.
Which widebody kit brand is the most popular in FH5?
Rocket Bunny/Pandem dominates with kits for over 20 cars, particularly Japanese models. Liberty Walk follows closely with their distinctive riveted-on look for European supercars.
What’s the best widebody kit in Horizon 5?
Widebody kits come down to personal taste, so it’s not really a one-size-fits-all answer here. If none of the cars in the list above have tempted you, we recommend checking out this video, which showcases some of the most popular widebody car:
