Xbox Teases ‘Japan-Inspired’ Content Reveal This Month: Could It Be Forza Horizon 6?
Xbox Wire just dropped an announcement ahead of Tokyo Game Show 2025, later this month, providing what could be the biggest hint yet that Forza Horizon 6 will be heading to Japan.

The announcement reads, “We know players around the world delight in Japan-inspired content and games developed in Asia…”, backing up the ever-growing number of hints, teasers, and leaks that have been surfacing online.
Japan has been the most requested location since the series began, but this time the speculation has more substance behind it than ever.
Recently, Australian car importer Cult & Classic accidentally revealed they were 3D scanning a Suzuki Every “for the next installation in the series” before quickly deleting the Instagram story.
JDM kei cars, like the Every, are perfect for recreating the real-world Japanese vehicles commonly seen on the roads – we wouldn’t mind having the opportunity to drift them, either!
Then, shortly after, two credible gaming insiders backed up the Japan rumors.
NateTheHate2 first leaked that Horizon 6 would be announced soon and set in Japan, claims that Tom Henderson later corroborated.
Henderson also followed up by stating, there’s “one massively disgruntled employee at Xbox” likely responsible for the leaks. Given the recent lay-offs in the Forza Motorsport division, we’re willing to bet there’s more than one!
The timing makes perfect sense for an announcement, with Microsoft CEO Phil Spencer already confirming “the next Forza” will be arriving in 2026, and where better to announce the news than in Japan itself?
There’s not long to wait until we find out for sure, and Xbox’s Thursday, September 25 livestream, at 7 PM JST (3 AM PT / 6 AM ET / 11 AM UK) is expected to provide Horizon fans with the answers, at last.
Will we finally get to see what Horizon fans have been screaming out for since day one?
With the return of Fujimi Kaido to the Forza Motorsport series earlier this year, we could be in for some incredible drifting action across Japan’s legendary touge mountain passes if so.
