Summary

Most Minecraft-style games have you mining and building. Crazy Motorcycle uses the same blocky visuals, throws Nubik on a motorbike, and sends him hurtling across floating platforms in the sky. Just one wrong move, and you’ll be left tumbling into the void.

Crazy Motorcycle - Image 14
Screenshot – Sliding the bike through the giant ice cubes is the closest you’ll get to drifting here (and it’s great fun!)

The first few levels will have you thinking it’s laughably easy. Before you know it, the bike’s drifty, often unpredictable handling starts catching you out. Hold either direction a millisecond too long, and the back end slides around, often sending you flying through the clouds.

Along the way, the icy corridors will test your nerves as you drift through the icefall, the moving platforms demand split-second jump timing, and rotating block barriers try to swat you off the edge.

It’s a fun, quick-play motorcycle platformer where the difficulty quickly sneaks up on you, but the instant resets and checkpoints mean getting booted off is never a big deal, making it tempting to keep pushing your limits.

Physics

Your bike often has subtle drifty abilities (depending on the surface) that can make things unpredictable.

Crazy Motorcycle - Image 15
Screenshot – Needless to say, there won’t be any wall runs to save you here!

Steer ever so slightly too long, and the rear end steps out, forcing you to try to catch it before the platform disappears beneath you.

At speed, the bike leans smoothly through the turns. However, if you slow down too much, it starts snapping at awkward 90-degree angles instead, almost like it wants to spin on the spot.

Tapping the brake also spins the bike a full 180 almost instantly, so don’t be surprised if you end up facing backwards out of nowhere (it’s as weird as it sounds).

Crazy Motorcycle - Image 16
Screenshot – You won’t be able to convince me this isn’t the perfect manji opportunity…

Ice surfaces amplify all of this, turning gentle corrections into full slides, while the bouncy green trampoline platforms launch you into the sky (much higher than a normal jump), often in a direction you didn’t plan for. Needless to say, it takes a little getting used to, but once you’ve got the momentum flowing and get through the various scenarios, it all starts to make more sense, and you’ll be flying (quite literally) through them in no time!

If you’re looking for something else that brings no shortage of challenges to play next, Drive Mad is the ultimate pick, offering similar blocky visuals and weight-transfer physics across 100+ (much harder) stages, each one handing you the keys to a completely different vehicle. Or, if you enjoy the sideways aspect, our huge drifting games catalog takes the sliding around much further with some games you won’t believe you can play from your browser.

Graphics

Everything is blocky, pixelated, and unmistakably Minecraft-inspired right down to your bike and character.

Crazy Motorcycle - Image 17
Screenshot – Close shave! Slamming into the corner of the platform as the sparks fly, and (just about) managing to save it.

You’ll get to drive across grass, stone, wood, and slippery ice blocks that float against the bright blue sky, and sparks fly off the bike when you land, adding a satisfying crunch to each touchdown.

Controls

PC/laptop/Chromebook

  • W/Up arrow – Accelerate
  • S/Down arrow – Brake/reverse
  • A/Left arrow – Steer left
  • D/Right arrow – Steer right
  • Space/Numpad 0 – Jump
  • R – Reset to last checkpoint

Mobile/tablet (iOS/Android)

  • On-screen buttons and optimized joystick

The on-screen joystick is perfect for the kind of precision you need here, and arguably feels even more natural than playing it on a computer. Once you’ve enjoyed what this one has to offer, you’ll find loads more bike and car games in our mobile games lineup.

How to Play Crazy Motorcycle

Initial Setup

The game opens with a quick control layout pop-up showing your movement and jump buttons, and from there you’re straight into Level 1. A settings icon in the top-left lets you toggle music and sound on or off, and the ‘R’ button in the top-right reminds you how to reset to the last checkpoint (you’ll be using that one heavily later on!).

Getting Started

You need to ride across the floating platforms, hitting checkpoints and reaching the finish target at the end.

Crazy Motorcycle - Image 18
Screenshot – This green flag means you’re safe… For now.

Red flags scattered across each level turn green when you ride through them, activating checkpoints you’ll be very grateful for later (trust me on this one!).

Crazy Motorcycle - Image 19
Screenshot – Even if you only JUST manage to hit it, you’ll get restored to the most recent checkpoint.

Fall off a platform at any point, and you’ll drop into the void, respawning at the last checkpoint (or the start if you didn’t reach one yet). Alternatively, you can also press ‘R’ to go back manually. It’s the kind of risky obstacle-course riding you’ll find all over our stunts and crash games, but with strong Minecraft visuals perfect for any fan to enjoy when you can’t play the real thing.

Crazy Motorcycle - Image 20
Screenshot – Party time! As the difficulty increases, you’ll be happy to see the confetti flying rather than Noob for a change!

A progress bar at the top fills from gray to green as you move through the level. Make sure you ride into the finish target when you get there, because if you miss it slightly, you’ll go flying straight off the end of the platform (ask me how I know!).

When you’re ready to take things up a notch, Stunt Bike Extreme provides a similar trials-bike checkpoint format, but with stunning visuals (not Minecraft-based, though, unfortunately) and 270 levels and tournament knockouts to work through.

Game Modes

It’s a straight level-by-level game with 64 levels split across four worlds with no additional modes to work through.

Crazy Motorcycle - Image 21
Screenshot – Uh… that one didn’t go to plan…

The early worlds ease you in with simple grass and concrete platforms. When you advance, it’ll throw in icy corridors and plenty of obstacles to avoid that force you to push the handling to its limits (and often beyond). It reminds us of Sky Riders, which takes the floating-course concept across 30 tracks with both cars and motorcycles to choose from.

It’s a solo experience all the way through, so the fun is in beating each level and pushing closer to the next world. The difficulty certainly isn’t linear, so even later levels that look terrifying sometimes turn out to be a breeze, while easier-looking ones can catch you off guard.

If you’re finding it a little challenging, give Moto Boss a try. It runs on a similar floating-track motorcycle concept, but with super simple one-button controls and coin-funded bike unlocks, giving you more to work towards but less to think about.

In-Game Motorbike

You’ll be riding the same blocky bike across all 64 levels, and you can’t customize or upgrade it in any way (unfortunately!), but that means you can focus purely on reaching the finish target.

Crazy Motorcycle - Image 22
Screenshot – Testing the sideways action on the grass. You can see there’s a little more to avoid here than on the earlier levels.

Looking for more? Traffic Road is the go-to for the ultimate two-wheeled thrill ride, along with much more variety. You get 30 motorcycles to unlock and upgrade across two islands, from superbikes and dirt bikes to choppers and mopeds. Our motorcycle games have plenty more options, too, covering everything from wheelie games to tricky trials, and just about everything in between.

If you fancy opting for four wheels, Madalin Stunt Cars 3 sits on the opposite end of the spectrum to Crazy Motorcycle when it comes to vehicles with over 60 cars to choose from, all of which are free from the start. You pick your ride, then cause carnage on a selection of massive open-world stunt maps along with online lobbies where you can play with randomers or invite your friends.

Advanced Tips & Tricks

Practice using subtle inputs for the steering early on

Crazy Motorcycle - Image 23
Screenshot – Boing! This light green platform acts like a trampoline, launching you into the air much higher than the usual in-game ‘jump’ function.

You’ll soon realize that the bike turns ridiculously sharply at lower speeds, almost snapping at 90-degree angles if you hold a direction too long.

Crazy Motorcycle - Image 24
Screenshot – That’s a big ol’ jump! Even when you’re airborne, it’s important not to do too much steering, especially when you’ve gotta land in a gap this narrow.

Gentle taps left and right work much better than holding the button down, and you’ll stay on the platform far more consistently. At consistently higher speeds, the bike leans more naturally and makes much more sense, so try to keep the momentum flowing whenever you can.

Use the icy platforms to learn how the bike slides

Ice patches amplify how much the back end wants to step out, and you’ll find yourself sliding around constantly. Instead of fighting it, use these sections to get comfortable with how the bike moves sideways for when it catches you out at slower speeds. Be ready for traction to kick back in when you leave the ice, because the sudden grip can throw you off just as easily.

If the sliding in this one has you curious about proper drifting, Drift Hunters MAX is the ultimate pick, letting you chain drift combos through AI traffic on a city street (Forza Horizon-style), then tests your angle in a judged Drift Attack mode with clipping points to hit. If you get good enough, you can also fight on the online leaderboards!

Moving platforms and obstacles reward patience

Crazy Motorcycle - Image 25
Screenshot – Sometimes it’s better to wait for a full rotation when you reach these spinning obstacles. You can also take a gamble and try landing at the correct angle to be catapulted forward.

Moving platforms are probably the trickiest obstacle in the game (alongside the swinging arms), especially when you need to jump between several in a row. Try to resist the urge to charge through (although you can hit reset easily enough if it goes wrong).

Practice stopping on each one (be careful with the steering), then waiting for the next to line up before committing. Patience beats heroics here almost every time, but we won’t deny it’s a lot of fun to YOLO your way through sometimes!

You can sometimes jump around the rotating barriers

Crazy Motorcycle - Image 26
Screenshot – They’re too tall to jump over. However, if you jump and steer into these, leaning your weight against them allows you to slide around.

The block barriers that swing across the path look like you have to wait for a gap, but you can sometimes jump outward off the edge and swerve back onto the platform on the other side. Leaning into them on a jump works sometimes, too, but it’s super risky.

You’ll fall plenty of times trying, but when it works, it’s one of the most satisfying moments in the game.

Don’t be afraid to send it and see what happens

Crazy Motorcycle - Image 27
Screenshot – Risking it all to skip the middle moving platform.

Once you’ve got a feel for the handling, keeping your finger on the throttle and committing to speed often works better than creeping through carefully. When you pull it off, you’ll see why it’s so fun.

The checkpoints are forgiving enough that even when you mess up, you won’t lose much ground, and you’ll occasionally pull off ridiculous saves you had no right to survive. Downhill Car Ride: Crash Test is the ultimate commitment to that mindset. Tap fast, launch off a ramp, and enjoy the hilarious ragdoll destruction that ensues!
