There are so many different platforms to choose from that you can be sure there is something new and exciting heading for release soon, and freetips.com has the lowdown on the top five racing games you can play in 2019.

DiRT Rally 2.0

Released in February, this is the long awaited follow up to the 2015 DiRT Rally hit. With added VR technology this is an excellent game with plenty of car reaction to the various conditions like water, dirt and gravel traps.

Racing in the sun, the rain or the snow and enjoy this multi-console offering that takes you even closer to your dreams of being a rally driver. Due for release on the Playstation4, Xbox One and the PC this is the perfect game for racing fans.

Trials Rising

Also hitting the shelves in February was Trials Rising this is a motocross simulation racing game that is proving to be a massive hit with fans. Trick jumps are fun to perfect but beware you could come crashing off your bike.

Lots of skill needed to master the game, but it is a stunning game with amazing graphics and some true to life simulation. Packed with features you can play this game on the PS4, Xbox One, Switch and PC.

Assetto Corsa Competizione

One for the PC fans, it actually hit early access during September 2018, but the official release date was scheduled for the first quarter of 2019, still only on the PC with other consoles to follow so don’t worry it is coming your way soon.

24-hour endurance racing is the theme, and this game is already proving to be a box office smash. With the emphasis on PC development, the graphics for computers are amazing, and we assume that the console version will be equally impressive too.

Team Sonic Racing

The wait is nearly over as our favourite spiky blue hedgehog lands in his new age on May 21 and excitement is reaching fever pitch. Our familiar friends are back, and this game is going to be available on the PS4, Xbox One, PC and the Nintendo Switch, so loads of opportunity to play.

This iconic game is undergoing another facelift, and it is sold by the name alone. If you are a Mario Kart fan and haven’t yet switched to Sonic, this is your time to shine, and there is no doubt this will be a whole load of fun, we cannot wait to play.

F1 2019

Expected sometime in August, no calendar year would be complete without an F1 game. Featuring the familiar faces of the season drivers, the games have always been well received, and it is now more a question of what extra features they can add thanks to advances in technology.

Whatever they do, we will be there to give it a test drive this summer.
