DRIFT CAR: Louis Lawrence: Prepared for War…
During a run of the mill ‘grassroots’ drift practice day at Teesside Autodrome a few months ago, I spotted a S14a which stood out from the crowd, a crowd which is usually filled with old BMWs and other beat up drift missiles that people tend to use while they find their drift legs... -
EVENT: MYWAY Drift School
When an automotive blogger like me gets an event invitation by an established company, it's normally some tech-talk event at a factory or a meet n greet at a convention, so when Dotz Wheels sent me an envelope with an invitation for a weekend in Hungary, I was really excited! -

EVENTS: Spring Matsuri, Anneau du Rhin
It's almost a tradition that the season for most of the southwest drifters starts in Anneau. In 2013, Speed Industries hosted their first event in the first week of March. In a time where more and more drift events are getting closed or banned, Anneau du Rhin is one of the last castles that remain. Due to this fact, the cars showing up at Anneau keep getting better and better; many European pro drifters have trained here. -

VIDEO: 1 Camera / 1 Drift Day
Ever watched a video and thought, "Man, they must have cameras EVERYWHERE"? Sometimes that's not far from the truth. Filming drifting has become pretty serious business as of late, and even at grassroots events you can find photographers and videographers cruising around with some pretty serious gear. I took this opportunity to buck the trend and shoot 1 Camera / 1 Drift Day. Enjoy! -
VIDEO: Drift Union Invitational 2012
After the success of last years Drift Union Invitational, I was inspired at this year's DUI to try and create a video that would dive a little deeper into the hidden gem that is Western Canada's drift scene. I wanted to make something more than just a short video, a mini-documentary of sorts. Something that could give you an insight into the minds of the drivers, show what goes on through the full weekend, the ups the downs, the drifting, the partying... an all encompassing video that is: The Drift Union Invitational. -
FEATURE: Josh’s Deadbeat BMW
When I think of a BMW in North America, the first thing that usually comes to mind is the stance and fitment movement. You know... Stanceworks and Lowly Gentlemen. Classy, well-fitted bimmers scraping at static height or laying frame on bags. While Europe has been at the forefront, for obvious reasons, North America has been a little late to the game when it comes to using them for drift cars... -
GRASSROOTS: Capital City Drift Season Opener
Winter came and went, now skid season is back in full swing. Last years heroes have spent the past six months building and testing. The gates to Western Speedway in Victoria, BC are open.... -

GRASSROOTS: Evergreen Drift Season End
The final drift event of the season at Evergreen Speedway was held a couple of weeks ago, marking the end of another great season. We have seen many local drivers turn pro and go on to compete in the big leagues, names such as Walker Wilkerson will be talked about a lot next year and this track has become proving grounds for many a drift star of the future. -

GRASSROOTS: Cell Block D 20
Agassiz's Speedway is a simple oval, two corners and two straights, but it is small and tight... and notorious for taking out cars. Most often, inexperienced drivers panic and hit the brakes, understeering into the wall. But even pros, who have been drifting the track since 2007 when Cell Block D started have had their share of mishaps here....

GRASSROOTS: Never-Lift at Birmingham Wheels
Right back in my very first post on Drifted.com I mentioned one of my most memorable moments of the UK drifting scene in its infancy was watching Ken Nomura drift a borrowed car smoking around Birmingham Wheels oval circuit.
